Ethereum Poker (ETH) — Deposits, Gas Fees and Risks

Two very different things get called "Ethereum poker":

1. A normal platform accepting ETH. You send ETH to an address the agent provides and the value is credited as virtual chips in the club. The game itself runs on a normal server, exactly like any online poker room. This is the common, fast, simple route.

2. On-chain poker via smart contracts. Every hand is written to the blockchain. Great in theory; in practice it is slow, gas-heavy and almost empty of players.

On Ethereum mainnet (ERC-20) every transfer costs gas. During congestion the fee can exceed $20, which makes small deposits pointless.

Rule of thumb: below roughly $300, ERC-20 fees eat a meaningful share of the deposit. Use USDT on TRC-20 (under $1) or a Layer-2 instead.

Check the live gas price before sending — waiting a few hours often halves the cost.

Layer-2 networks settle on top of Ethereum and drop fees to a few cents with second-level confirmation. If the receiving side supports them, this is the best way to send ETH.

Critical warning: sending from a Layer-2 to an address expecting mainnet (or the reverse) can permanently lose the funds. Always confirm the exact network with the agent before sending, and send a small test amount first.

Unlike USDT, ETH moves constantly. Send $500 of ETH and if the price drops 4% before the deposit is credited, you receive less. That is exposure unrelated to poker, and sound bankroll management avoids it. This is why many players convert ETH to USDT on an exchange and deposit that instead.

1. Message the agent on WhatsApp and agree an amount.

2. Receive an ETH wallet address plus the exact network name.

3. Send a small test amount ($15-20) the first time.

4. Once confirmed, send the full amount and keep the TXID.

5. Chips are credited within minutes (longer during mainnet congestion).

Withdrawals run the same way in reverse: request, supply a wallet address, receive ETH.

Bit2C and Bits of Gold are regulated Israeli exchanges with bank transfer support. Binance and Bybit offer deeper liquidity and lower fees. All require identity verification (KYC), typically 24-48 hours — do not leave it to the hour before a tournament.
