What is Slow Play in poker?

Slow playing means deliberately playing weakly with a very strong hand, letting the opponent catch up or keep betting so the pot grows. It works best on dry boards and against aggressive opponents who are likely to bet into you. On wet, draw-heavy boards it is usually better to build the pot immediately instead.
